Website and downloads

Our website, database and download files are hosted through united-domains GmbH, Gautinger Straße 10, 82319 Starnberg, Germany. Its Webspace service uses IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. According to the provider, Webspace data is hosted in Germany. Access logs include requested pages/files, referrer, browser, operating system/device information, access time and an anonymised IP address, and are retained by IONOS for eight weeks for security and stability. We process connection information to deliver and protect this website, based on our legitimate interest in reliable, secure operation (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The website code adds no analytics, advertising trackers, external fonts or visitor cookies. The provider may use technically necessary cookies. The restricted administration area uses a secure session cookie for login.

Download emails

When you request download links by email, we record your email address and request timestamps, and send the Mac and Windows links through the United Domains mail service. We use these details to fulfil your requested delivery and handle delivery problems, based on our legitimate interest in providing that requested service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Providing an address is necessary for email delivery. A download request does not subscribe you to a newsletter.

Delivery records contain recipient, message type, sending status, attempt count and timestamps. Message bodies are cleared after successful sending or cancellation. Unconfirmed, download-only and unsubscribed contact records become eligible for deletion 30 days after their last update. Delivery records become eligible after seven days; a delivery in progress is allowed to finish. Cleanup runs on server-side form, confirmation or administration requests and through an automated maintenance call scheduled every five minutes. The external scheduler cron-job.org receives only the protected maintenance address, a dedicated access key and technical status counts; it does not receive our subscriber list or message contents. Maintenance also retries pending deliveries within the configured retry limits.

Optional newsletter

Updates are based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). We record the consent wording/version and request time and send a separate confirmation email. Its confirmation link expires after 48 hours. Opening it alone does not subscribe you: you must press the confirmation button. We then record your confirmation time. Confirmed subscription details are kept while your subscription remains active.

You may withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in the confirmation email, in future newsletters, or by contacting us. This does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. Unsubscription excludes your address from the current newsletter export immediately. Only confirmed subscribers are included in exports used for updates; pending, download-only and unsubscribed contacts are excluded.

Contact messages

The contact form sends your email address and message directly to support@rbt.studio through United Domains, using your address as Reply-To. It does not save your message in the website database or subscribe you to updates. Messages are kept in the support mailbox for handling your enquiry and necessary follow-up; deletion is handled there separately when the enquiry and relevant follow-up no longer require the correspondence, subject to applicable retention duties or legal claims.

We use contact data to respond to your request: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where necessary for contractual or pre-contractual enquiries, otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. Please do not send passwords or payment details.

Abuse prevention and service providers

Our database stores keyed hashes derived from an IP address or email address, request counters and expiry times to limit repeated submissions. These are pseudonymous, not anonymous. Raw IP addresses are not stored in these application tables. Entries expire within approximately two days and are removed by the cleanup described above. Hosting logs are separate. Security processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Hosting and email providers process information needed for their services. Our authorised administrator may access the database and export confirmed newsletter addresses, confirmation times and consent versions. Provider backups follow their separate retention cycles; deleting an application record does not imply immediate erasure from backups. More information: United Domains privacy notice.

Optional PayPal support

PayPal opens only when you follow a support link. No payment or PayPal account details are required for our free download, and this website does not collect bank or card data. PayPal processes information under its own privacy notice, including any international processing described there.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Send requests to support@rbt.studio. You may complain to a supervisory authority, including the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. We do not use your data for profiling or automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
